Salzgitter Flachstahl manufactures steel products that are optimised for their particular application. For example, we develop higher-strength isotropic thin sheets with very good forming and processing properties for the automotive industry. Their higher strengths enable the manufacture of components with lower sheet thickness which nevertheless have the required crash properties. Innovations, such as the PRETEX® method, a new surface-texturing method, deliver improvements in processing properties both during forming and coating.
Our technical customer support and Salzgitter Mannesmann Forschung are available to help with any problems. It is therefore possible to develop target-orientated solutions for product and process optimisation in cooperation with users and customers. This close cooperation guarantees customer-orientated and application-related product development.
The Salzgitter Group relies on the use of state-of-the-art technologies for steel production and processing for the manufacture of high-quality steel products. Salzgitter Flachstahl guarantees the fulfilment of all future quality requirements with significant investments in new plant engineering to improve and modernise processing technology.
